Rancho Cordova's Free Seminar on Essentials of Fair Housing

Come join us for a FREE seminar for rental owners and property managers about the essentials of fair housing.

At this seminar you can learn about state and federal fair housing laws, avoid costly fines and lawsuits from discrimination complaints, and ensure equal housing opportunities for all residents.

This free seminar will help rental owners and property managers understand and comply with state and federal fair housing laws that prevent housing discrimination. Enforcement of fair housing laws is ongoing in the Sacramento region. Rental owners or managers who fail to comply with the laws may be subject to thousands of dollars in fines or legal fees and even the possibility of a jail sentence.
An experienced landlord-tenant attorney will discuss current fair housing topics, which include compliance with new laws and regulations, reasonable accommodations and modifications for disabled renters, rental occupancy guidelines, assistive animals, hostile housing environment, and use of criminal history for tenant screening.

This free training is a service of the Renters Helpline, a program supported by the County of Sacramento, in partnership with the California Apartment Association, Sacramento Self-Help Housing, and other local governments and tenant-support organizations.

To register for the free seminar, call (916) 917-4984 or download the registration form at www.caanet.org/FairHousingSeminar.

This event takes place in the City of Rancho Cordova, which is part of the Sacramento region.
