The City of Rancho Cordova is a place to live, work, learn and play. Rancho Cordova is home to high-quality education from three different school districts and 15 higher education and trade schools that provide a broad spectrum of learning opportunities. The city has continued to invest in educational opportunities to support youth in our community, career pathways, and our local economy.

Educational Opportunities
Summer at City Hall
The Summer at City Hall Program is designed to help Rancho Cordova youth, between the ages of 13 and 18, learn more about their local government and work on their professional development. Through this program, participants have the opportunity to connect with local leaders and make a difference in their community. Stay tuned for more information about the application period for this program.
Rancho Cordova Promise Program
The first-in-the-region Promise Program began in 2016 in the city. The program offers eligible Rancho Cordova residents who graduate from high school and Rancho Cordova veterans with funding that can be applied toward tuition and fees, textbooks, transportation, or other expenses. Funding for this program is provided by the city through a Community Enhancement Fund grant.

Community PRIDE Scholarship
This award program was developed by city employees and provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors living in the city who demonstrate pride in their community, volunteer efforts, and ambition to succeed.

Youth @ City Council Program
The Youth @ City Council Program is designed to help Rancho Cordova youth, between the ages of 13 and 18, learn more about their local government and work on their professional development.

- Elk Grove Unified School District
- Folsom Cordova Unified School District
- Sacramento City Unified School District
