Linda Budge was elected to the first City Council when the city incorporated in 2003 and reelected in November 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022. She served as Mayor in 2004, 2008, 2013, 2018 and 2023; Vice Mayor in 2007, 2012, 2017 and 2022; and Mayor Pro Tempore in 2002/03.

About

Linda has resided in this area for more than 40 years and has been involved in almost all aspects of community life in Rancho Cordova. She has been active in the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1999.

She was president of the Cordova Community Council, saved the historic Mills Station building for a new life as a community center at the Mather Field Mills Station, and also served on the Sacramento County Fire Protection District Board. For more than 18 years, she chaired the Sacramento County Subdivision Review Committee, which hears all the parcel maps and subdivision maps in the County.

Work Experience

Linda is an American Institute Certified Planner and the owner of Geometra Planning & Permitting, a full service planning and permit processing firm. As a consulting planner, she handles rezones and use permits and has processed commercial building permits all over the U.S.

Education

Linda studied at the University of Georgia; University of California, Davis; Sacramento State University; and American River College. She is an alumni of the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education program and earned a Certificate of Corporate Community Relations from Boston College.

Family

Linda and her husband, Lee Garrison, a retired civil engineer, share five children and 14 grandchildren.
