Elizabeth Sparkman is the Community Development Director for the City of Rancho Cordova. In this role, Elizabeth oversees the Building and Safety, Neighborhood Services and Planning Divisions. The department is responsible for planning and implementing the growth and physical development of the city in a comprehensive manner to ensure the successful enhancement of the community with safe and high quality development projects.

Career

Elizabeth previously served as the Engineering Manager in the Public Works Department and has previously managed the Building and Safety Division. She has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, special districts and fee programs, and budget administration.

Working for the city since January 2005, Elizabeth is committed to continuing to grow the city as a vibrant community and destination.

Education

Elizabeth is a registered Professional Engineer and graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
