In 2021, the City Council directed staff to research space rent and other mobile home park issues within Rancho Cordova. In 2022, the City Council created an Ad Hoc Committee to continue negotiations between park residents, park owners, and the city. The Ad Hoc Committee recommended moving forward with a 10-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) to address space rent issues rather than adopting a new city ordinance. A draft MOU was presented to the City Council in March 2023 and the City Council adopted the final MOU in April 2023. The individual MOUs have been executed with the eight (8) mobile home parks within the City of Rancho Cordova. The term of the MOUs will extend from June 1, 2023 through May 30, 2033.
