City Manager Micah Runner is the CEO of the city organization, whose mission is to carry out the policies and programs approved by the City Council in the best manner possible, and to provide leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of city staff.
In a Council/Manager form of government, the City Council sets policy and the City Manager is charged with policy development and recommendations, policy implementation and the day-to-day administration of city government.
City Manager Micah Runner leads over 200 city staff and contractors in implementing a FY 21/22 budget of $268 million and a FY 22/23 budget of $178 million. The City Manager reports directly to the City Council and is responsible for ensuring projects and programs result in accomplishing the Council’s citywide goals and policies.
In addition, Megan Siren, Assistant to the City Manager, manages key special projects and the Facilities Team.
