About the Public's Right To Access

The City of Rancho Cordova understands and supports the public's right to access the public records created and maintained by the City in the course of normal business. It is the goal of the City to provide service in a transparent manner which includes timely access to records in accordance with the California Public Records Act.

Availability

Inspection of records in person is welcome. However, contacting the City Clerk's Department first is advisable to make sure that the records are available.

If records are not readily accessible or staff are unavailable, an appointment may have to be scheduled before records are available for viewing. In order to prevent records from being lost, damaged or destroyed during inspection, city staff may determine the location of, and may monitor the inspection.
