Water Services in Rancho Cordova are provided by two private water companies, Golden State Water and California American Water, and two public agencies, Sacramento County Water Agency and City of Folsom Water District.

Sewer Services
The Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is the region's sewage collection, treatment, and resource recovery utility—providing service for residents of Rancho Cordova. Every other month, you will receive a combined utility bill for these services from Sacramento County.

Drainage Services
To report drainage problems such as plugged storm drain inlets, please call the city at 916.851.8710. Check out these tips for keeping your storm drains clear of debris, so you can be “storm ready.”
In 2014, the City of Rancho Cordova began providing drainage maintenance and operations services, including: rehabilitation and construction, development review, operations and maintenance of the drainage system, and maintaining stormwater quality.
