About

Vice Mayor Siri Pulipati grew up in India and is an engineer by profession, having attended Sacramento State. She has lived in Rancho Cordova since 2002, is the mother of a high schooler and middle schooler, and a mentor to students in the area of Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). 

In 2019-2020, Vice Mayor Pulipati participated in and graduated from the year-long Leadership Rancho Cordova program. She would then go on to be elected to the Rancho Cordova City Council in November 2020, becoming the first woman of color and the first Indian American to serve on the Rancho Cordova City Council. 

Work Experience

Siri’s background is in engineering, but she has also been a top-producing realtor and has taught in the graduate program at California State University, Sacramento (CSUS). 

Siri works for a top Fortune 500 company in the semiconductor industry. 

Education

Siri grew up in India and came to the United States to attend graduate school at CSUS, where she earned a Master’s Degree in electrical engineering. She is the first woman of color and the first Indian American to serve on the Rancho Cordova City Council.

Family

Siri is a mother of two young children. She is passionate about education and public safety to ensure kids have a safe and fun environment in which to grow and learn. She also supports economic development and attracting more well-paying job opportunities for residents and for the region.
