Please join the City of Rancho Cordova on April 14, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. for our third virtual public workshop for the City’s Climate Action Plan (CAP). The results of the recently-completed greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions forecasts and reduction targets technical memorandum will be presented. Attendees will learn about:
- The primary emissions sources and activities in Rancho Cordova that are expected to generate climate-warming GHG emissions in the future
- The role that State and federal actions play in reducing emissions in Rancho Cordova
- How much lower the City’s future emissions need to meet California’s climate goals
Attendees will also have the opportunity to share thoughts on potential actions the City government could take to reduce emissions to levels that meet California’s climate goals.

This workshop is one of several that will be conducted at various stages of the CAP. The purpose of the CAP is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated in the City, set emission reduction targets to align with the State of California’s GHG reduction goals, and establish polices and actions to reach reduction targets. The CAP will also assess vulnerabilities to climate change impacts, identify strategies to adapt and promote resilience to climate change impacts. Through the CAP, community members will have the opportunity to make their homes and business more sustainable while saving money and promoting a healthier environment.
We look forward to your participation!
