Vesper Energy is proposing to construct a battery storage facility on a 5.69- acre site, adjacent to the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Cordova substation. This project will provide essential grid resiliency and reliability services using battery technology to store electricity from the grid when supply is abundant and deliver it to customers when it is needed the most. The Project will help to meet SMUD's zero carbon future by complementing renewable generations, and reduce the likelihood of local outages. This event takes place in the City of Rancho Cordova, which is part of the Sacramento region.
