Join this Soil Born Farms class to learn ways to prevent and control garden pests using integrated pest management concepts. In addition to tools for pest control, you will learn how to recognize and use beneficial insects and spiders as biological control. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices, including the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. Karey will highlight the pests found in our local environment, management practices and beneficial insects. This class is designed for students with beginning and intermediate knowledge.
