American Dreams: The Art of Local Refugees

This exhibit will showcase local refugees who are also artists. Creative people are all around us every day. Artists are visual story tellers, some tell stories of the past, some the present, and some are visions of the future they hope to build. The great American dream is to come to a place where there is potential to grow, learn, and thrive in a welcoming community. America was a place where we committed to “give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”.
Refugees leave because of persecution, war, terror. We are all descendants of refugees unless you are native American Indian. Let’s celebrate those creatives who have stories to tell us. This show is partnering with Ri-Nu Imagination 501c3 here in Rancho Cordova.

This event takes place in the City of Rancho Cordova, which is part of the Sacramento region.
