California Capital International Documentary Film Festival

The 2nd Annual California Capital International Documentary Film Festival will open with a special reception on Friday, September 29, and continue September 30 and October 1, 2023, in Rancho Cordova.

The festival will take place at three screening locations: Rancho Cordova City Hall Council Chambers and The American River Room, 2729 Prospect Park Drive, Rancho Cordova, and Cal Cap Black Box Theatre, 9845 Horn Road, Sacramento.

The festival aims to provide an international program to local audiences and will feature screenings in cinematic 6k with surround sound. The Mills Station Arts and Cultural Center (MACC) will serve as the festival hub for networking and filmmaker discussions.

The Event is sponsored by the City of Rancho Cordova, Belka & Hagan Families, SMUD, Comstock’s Magazine, Sactown Magazine, Sacramento Magazine, Visit Rancho Cordova, Sacramento Film & Media, and Cordova Community Council and is supported in part by the Measure H Community Enhancement & Investment Fund from the City of Rancho Cordova.
