Cordova Lancers, Leaders and Legends (CL3) will provide its “Creating Beats, Rhymes and Positive Messages” with Rob Woods, Cam-One and Grace Deyanna at the Rancho Cordova Youth Center.
The program offers hands-on STEAM learning with positive encouragement to embrace individual worth and persist in pursuing dreams. Participants will engage in tool-based instrument creation and digital music production. Students will construct beat boxes, integrate them with computer tech for music creation and learn to craft autobiographies using a four-bar rhyming format to boost English Literacy. Additionally, they'll be guided in setting their rhymes to music, employing meditation for creativity, fostering a positive mindset and fortifying mental well-being.
- Ages: Students 11 – 18
- Dates and times: 4 PM – 6 PM on five consecutive afternoons, Monday through Friday, April 8, 2024 – April 12, 2024 (5 total sessions)
