This class will introduce concepts and skills required to start your own home herbal medicine chest with just a small number of herbs that cover a lot of basic needs. We’ll talk about choosing herbal preparations (teas, tinctures, herbal foods, oils) for each herb we talk about, and practice some hands-on medicine-making. You’ll take home herbal products of your own making to start your collection.
You’ll learn:
- The primary uses of some key herbs for addressing minor illness and improving health, plus herbs they can be paired with for different objectives.
- Basic medicine making, including teas, tinctures, herbal foods, and oils.
- How to think about and build your home medicine chest.
