On Friday, June 3, all 126 California U-Haul locations with propane services will begin selling, exchanging or refilling one-pound refillable cylinders during normal business hours. At the 2830 Broadway location only from 7 AM to 7 PM, the first 25 customers who bring 4 empty disposable one-pound cylinders will be given an empty refillable cylinder. Customers who bring in fewer than 4 empty cylinders will be given an e-certificate for a free refill of a refillable one-pound cylinder.
U-Haul has joined forces with the California Product Stewardship Council on their Refuel Your Fun campaign. Refuel Your Fun encourages Californians to switch from the traditional one-pound disposable propane cylinders used to fuel small camping stoves, portables grills, lanterns and heaters, to the new refillable cylinders, which are an environmentally friendly option that save consumers money.
