New Retail Center Proposed at Sunrise and Douglas
City of Rancho Cordova Planning Project # DD9600
The City of Rancho Cordova has received an application for a proposed new retail center on a currently undeveloped 14 acre site located at the southeast corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Douglas Road. The project was originally submitted in July 2015, but has since been redesigned in order to attract new tenants. The plans still include two phases of construction. Phase 1 now includes 5 new retail pads and a new service station with car wash and convenience store. Phase 2 would include 1 new commercial pad totaling 80,000 square feet, to be designed and constructed at a later time. Both phases will include new lighting, landscaping, signage, and parking areas. A conditional use permit is required for the 3 proposed drive-throughs and the service station with convenience store along Douglas Road.
The City's Planning Department will host an informal Neighborhood Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31 in the Council Chambers at Rancho Cordova City Hall located at 2729 Prospect Park Drive.
