About RCYC

The Rancho Cordova Youth Center, or RCYC for short, is the first youth center in the City of Rancho Cordova. RCYC provides a welcoming, central and safe environment for year-round youth programs, builds relationships with local youth, and shows local youth how much the community cares about their success and future in Rancho Cordova.

Located at 10455 Investment Circle, RCYC is centrally located and serves elementary and teenage students with a focus on equity and inclusion, mentorship, academic support and sports activities. The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento in collaboration with Rancho Cordova Police Activities League operate RCYC.

Center of Praise Ministries, a multi-ethnic church, donated the building and land to the city specifically for a youth center. In January 2020, the city held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the generous donation and to pledge its support for the development and oversight of the Youth Center.

The city invested nearly $8 million in capital funding to renovate the 1.75-acre property, which includes a 9,000-square-foot building. The federal government will provide a $350,000 grant for programming and equipment.

How the Youth Center Supports Rancho Cordova

Since cityhood in 2003, it has been a dream of Rancho Cordova city leaders to provide struggling youth with a safe place to go where they can be supported. A Youth Center is much-needed in Rancho Cordova to support youth from many racial and ethnic backgrounds, as well as socio-economic levels.
