Dave Huhn currently serves as a Planning Commission for the City of Rancho Cordova.

Dave’s family started in Rancho Cordova in 1970 when his father was transferred to Mather Air Force Based. Dave graduated from Cordova High School in 1987. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1989 and returned 3 years later to start college. Dave spent 3 years at American River College while working a full-time job and received two associate degrees.

From there, he signed up for the Mechanical Engineering program at Sacramento State in 1994 and started an internship with a Sacramento-based mechanical contractor. Dave graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1997 and turned that internship into a full-time job.

Dave passed the California Professional Engineering exam in 2003 and spent 14 years with the contracting firm before moving into the consulting world in 2008. He spent 12 years in consulting before starting his own business in 2020 continuing to this day.
